This report provides a summary of the information collected from the Family Resources Survey (FRS) during the period April 2008 to the end of March 2009 across the United Kingdom. The Family Resources Survey collects information on the incomes and circumstances of private households in the United Kingdom. The survey is sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions. Whilst it was designed with their needs specifically in mind, it contains information which will be of interest to researchers and analysts from a wide range of disciplines in both the public and private sectors. The report is divided into sections covering: income and state support receipt; tenure; savings and investments; carers and disability; and occupation and employment.
