This report draws together the findings of three earlier reports by the Enhancing Value Taskforce of the Council for Industry and Higher Education (CIHE) (now the National Centre for Universities and Business). It draws together the evidence and makes recommendations for changes to the funding and conduct of publicly-funded research in the UK designed to better support the creation of economic value. It will be of interest to universities, business, government and funders of research such as the UK Research Councils.
