The map 'Jewish East London' was published in 1900 by T. Fisher Unwin in a book by Charles Russell & H.S. Lewis The Jew in London. A study of racial character and present-day conditions.
It was produced by George Arkell, a cab driver, statistician and social geographer, who worked on the famous survey of London poverty by Charles Booth during the 1880s.
