A report seeks to determine best practice in knowledge transfer partnerships between business and higher education. A literature review was carried out and a model of the “ideal " knowledge transfer process created. Successful examples of partnership were then investigated and compared with the models. Knowledge transfer partnerships were compared to other schemes for collaboration. Recommendations were made to organisations engaging in schemes on how to best succeed.
