This report focuses on young people’s aspirations not simply to be enterprising but to pursue enterprise as a career –
either through business start-ups, social enterprises or franchising. It presents national findings and ideas from a project examining the nature of the business development system in England and how to improve support. The project is based on research with young people, a survey of young entrepreneurs and a national ‘supply-side’ mapping of services. It was overseen by a working group of the Enterprise Campaign Coalition.
