In the face of an ageing population, a growing burden of chronic disease and rising costs, the need for NHS reform is widely acknowledged.
Achieving this pace and scale of change will require a pool of skilled and visionary leaders at a local level. The best organisations therefore need strong management and leadership.
This paper, written by aspiring clinical leaders, sets out ambitions for a systemic approach to clinical leadership development, that will ensure a highly skilled leadership team is in position, and ready, to help the NHS meet the complex healthcare demands of the future.
