A quarterly operational report for April - June 2012 is released from the Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies. It includes statistics on the formation and dissolution of CICs, including statistics on newly created CICs by geographical region, whether newly formed or converted from an existing company, and whether limited by guarantee or shares. Additionally it includes details of the Office's staff, case studies of new CICs, numbers of CIC annual reports published, numbers of enquiries handled by the Office, and material on funding. It is reported that many rejections of CIC formation applications by Companies House are due to simple errors in filling in Form IN01, and the common errors are described and the correct responses explained.
