This report looks at the evidence about the pay of top executives and finds that since the late 1990s, executive pay has grown from 60 times that of the average UK worker to nearly 180 times. It examines the negative effects on employee morale, trust and wider society, and goes on to outline potential policy measures which are designed to tackle what the authors see as  excessive levels of executive pay and help narrow the gap between top bosses and everyone else.
