On the 7th December 2015 the Department for Education published draft guidance for consultation on how local authority maintained schools, academies, and free schools should respond to:

  • Parents’ requests that the school that their child attends considers establishing wraparound and / or holiday childcare.
  • Childcare providers’ requests to use school facilities for wraparound and / or holiday provision at times when the school is not using them.

The consultation closed on the 29 February 2016.
