The British Library holds the world's pre-eminent collection of manuscript, archival, digital and print sources for the study of 20 & 21st century Britain and Ireland, in both domestic and international contexts. Our extensive collections include printed editions, newspapers, manuscript works, literary sources and personal papers, photographs, maps and reports.
This event takes an interdisciplinary approach to 20 & 21st century studies. It will appeal to all researchers who are interested in working with the modern and contemporary collections at the British Library, including those undertaking PhDs in the areas of history, literature, drama, art & design, cultural studies, history of science and technology. You will be introduced to the full scope of these collections and learn how to unlock their potential to support your research.
Our Doctoral Open Days provide an opportunity to meet expert staff and other researchers across a range of disciplines and subject areas.
