A night of poetry hosted by acclaimed poet Linton Kwesi Johnson
The International Book Fairs of Black Radical and Third World Books (1982-1995) were ground breaking events held in London and around the UK. They gathered writers and publishers, artists, filmmakers, musicians, activists and more from around the world to perform, debate, show their work and meet like-minded people — and included an International Poetry Night. For one night only, come and hear ten of the most diverse poets from the UK, Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Africa read work which ranges from the humorous to the darkly gothic … and everything in-between.
They include Imtiaz Dharker, Lorna Goodison, John Hegley, Rafeef Ziadah and the George Padmore Institute Poet-in-Residence Jay Bernard among others.
