Delve into and explore the rich tradition of Artists' Books originating from Latin America
Artists' Books Now: “América Latina„ explores a range of contemporary approaches to artists' books and the related world of the book arts. Hear from artists from several different Latin American traditions of practice talking about their work alongside curators and other experts in the field, and the books themselves.
Michael Wellen, Curator, International Art, Tate Modern, will host the evening. He will be joined by the contemporary visual artist Francisca Prieto and the artist book and zine maker Rafael Morales Cendejas, whilst the researchers and collectors Connie Bloomfield and Lucy Bell explore editoriales cartoneras and cordel. Curator, Latin American and Caribbean Collections, British Library, Elizabeth Cooper will be in discussion with Michael Wellen.
