In this inspiring and practical session, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the British Library and make and take away their own bound book.
The session is aimed at groups of young people (16+) and adults with learning disabilities and takes place in our galleries, Learning Centre and public spaces. Participants will be introduced to the range of collections on display with a particular focus on printed books. This will be followed by a practical workshop where participants will create their own book using basic bookbinding techniques.
The workshop aims to be a fun and creative session and to raise confidence of both participants and support staff in engaging with historical collections.
Further information on how to access the British Library building is available on our Accessibility at the British Library page.
