On this, the opening night, Marlon Davis and Felicity Ethnic take to the stage, hosted by Mr Cee.

Marlon Davis
Marlon Davis is a comedian, improviser and actor who embraces his work with energy and charm, embodying his characters and delivering his material with skilful observations. His act is inspired by his upbringing, exploring urban Britain and tackling its social issues with characterisations. Marlon’s recent TV appearances include Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC3), The Stephen K Amos Show (BBC2) and The Five O’Clock Show (Channel 4). He has supported fellow comedians Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr on tour.

Felicity Ethnic
Felicity Ethnic burst onto the black comedy scene in the ‘90s and quickly stamped her mark as a uniquely talented and versatile comic writer and performer. The character comic is best known for her no holds barred character Big Titty Pearl and her intimate conversations with women about children and relationships with men. Her often poignantly comic creations regularly appeared during the emergence of black British farce such as in Independent Black Woman, the first such comedy to reflect the experiences of first generation modern black Britons. She has appeared at the Boston Comedy Club and Sugar Shack in New York, as well as a variety of venues in the UK, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe and has shared the stage with the likes of Kevin Hart, Mike Epps, John Witherspoon, Ian Edwards, Tony Woods and Mark Curry (Hanging with Mr Cooper) to name but a few.

Host: Mr Cee
Our comedy festival is hosted by the cool, charming and conscious, Mr Cee. Equally skilled at hosting and as a stand-up comedian, Mr Cee has performed at various venues from The Hackney Empire and The Comedy Store to Jongleurs and Highlight. He has also supported some of the top names in comedy – Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney, Felix Dexter, Gina Yashere, Curtis Walker, Angie LeMar – on their UK Tours. Once voted Best Male Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards, Mr Cee can be found doing warm ups for television shows, hosting his own comedy nights (Come Mek We Larf) and performing all over the country.

Doors open at 19.00. Show starts at 19.30. This event is suitable for those aged 16+.
