Hone your beer-tasting skills
Britain has a dynamic brewing scene and an unmatched heritage in spreading the love and knowledge of beer around the world. More styles of beer first brewed in Britain are now brewed overseas than those of any other brewing nation. These include India Pale Ale, Pale Ale, Porter, Stout, Imperial Russian Stout, Mild, Bitter, Barley Wine, Brown Ale, and Scotch Ale.
Join leading beer sommelier Jane Peyton as she extols British beer and reveals fascinating facts about beer history and culture, and its health benefits (in moderation).
Ticket includes three small glasses of beer from renowned brewery Harvey’s & Son. This event is open to those aged 18+.
Jane Peyton is an alcoholic drinks educator, broadcaster, pub expert, writer, and founder of the School of Booze. She has won several awards for her work including Drinks Educator of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement in Beer from the British Parliament’s MPs and Peers. She has also achieved several ‘firsts’ including being the UK’s first certified Pommelier (cider sommelier) and the UK’s first Beer Sommelier of the Year. Jane is the author of eight books including Beer o’ Clock, and Drink: A Tippler’s Miscellany.
