Read the full course outline.

Throughout literature cats have found a way to claw themselves into the limelight of the pages. They inspire our imagination through their unique personalities. Whether the sly adventures of Slinky Malinki or the enormous grin of the Cheshire Cat, cats can bring a plot to life with their playful characteristics and mischievous exploits.

Learn the key aspects of drawing a cat in a range of comic and illustrative styles, including different body shapes, facial features and methods to express their personal identity and character. Learn how to create cats using various drawing techniques and develop your own preferred drawing style. This course teaches you how to create a comic from starting with a brief, through to exploring and developing ideas, to a completed piece of work. With guided assistance and direction you will work from a brief to create your own zine (mini comic).
