With Simon Fanshawe, Drake Jensen, Princess Julia, K Anderson and Darryl Bullock

From the cabaret stage to inside the homes of millions. Join broadcaster Simon Fanshawe and writer Darryl Bullock alongside DJ Princess Julia and performers K Anderson and Drake Jensen to discuss the transformation, impact and influence of LGBTQ+ music makers.

Born in Scotland, raised in Australia, and now based in London, K Anderson is an artist unafraid to wear his quirks proudly on his sleeve. His debut album is The Overthinker.

Canadian country singer Drake Jensen is making his UK debut at the event. The critically-acclaimed recording artist and gay rights activist releases his fourth studio album later this year.

Darryl Bullock is a writer, publisher, editor and blogger specialising in music and the arts. He is the author of David Bowie Made Me Gay: 100 Years of LGBT Music, which explores the impact of gay musicians on modern music.

Simon Fanshawe is a writer and broadcaster who has contributed to numerous BBC Radio and TV programmes. He is a founding member of Stonewall and of the Kaleidoscope Trust. He is on the Board of the Museum of London, POWERful Women, Brighton Festival and Housing & Care 21.

Princess Julia
is a DJ, writer, nightlife royalty and stalwart of London’s fashion scene. She is considered one of the original Blitz kids of the late 70s London club scene and has made appearances in videos such as Visage’s Fade to Grey and in Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl – The Greatest Hits world tour. She is the culture correspondent at i-D magazine, editor at large at Man About Town magazine and writes a weekly column for QX magazine.

Enjoy food and drink purchased from the Knowledge Centre Bar from 18.00 and after the event until the Bar closes at 22.00.
