Part of the Chortle Comedy Book Festival
David Quantick is an Emmy-winning comedy writer – Veep, The Thick Of It, TV Burp, Brass Eye – and author (All My Colors, The Mule). In this talk, David discusses a fistful of comic novels that shaped his outlook on comedy, and which were all in his local library at the same time.
From Peter Tinniswood to BS Johnson, from Caryl Brahms to John Fortune, these are books by writers who range from the obscure to the cool, but they all wrote novels of comic genius.
