This digital pack features a collection of remarkable original sources selected from our exhibition Elizabeth and Mary: Royal Cousins, Rival Queens. Your learners will follow the storm that threatened Elizabeth I and Mary, Queen of Scots as they struggled for control of the British Isles.
The pack features spectacular personal items including a ring owned by Elizabeth and embroidery made by Mary during her long imprisonment, alongside letters and other documents handwritten by Mary, Elizabeth and their closest advisers.
The pack is presented chronologically to track the evolving relationship between the two women. Background details and suggested classroom activities accompany each item.
Towards the back of the pack you will find printable, colour images of each item and activity templates.
You will also receive a recording of a teacher’s webinar in which the pack’s creators and the exhibition curators introduce the items and teaching ideas.
