Saturday 24 June 2023 at CLPE & Sunday 25 June at the British Library (London), plus the option to see The Comedy of Errors and attend the Poetry by Heart finals (Shakespeare's Globe)
The British Library is delighted to be one of the co-hosts for the annual conference of the National Association for the Teaching of English, which will offer two days of high-quality CPD exploring ways of making English a rich and rewarding experience in the classroom. There’ll also be events to celebrate NATE’s 60th anniversary.
This in-person conference will be based in central London – at the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education in Southwark (Saturday 24 June) and at the British Library in Camden (Sunday 25 June) – and includes the option of attending two special events at Shakespeare’s Globe: a performance of The Comedy of Errors (Sunday 25th June) and attendance at the Poetry By Heart Finals on Monday 26th June. We encourage you to attend both days (and enjoy the additional literary events) though it is also possible to attend one of the conference days.
Award-winning poet Patience Agbabi and acclaimed children’s author Frank Cottrell-Boyce will be joining us, as well as a range of research presentations, practical workshops and network opportunities. See further details.
Places are very limited, so please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment (and save up to £50 on the ticket price if you book before the end of April).
