We need you! Help us create an exciting art station for families

We’re creating an exciting art station with learning resources for families to enjoy here at the Library. Your family’s creative ideas and unique voice are needed to help make this new feature in our building an inspiring one, enjoyed by families all year round.

Join artists Emma and Judith for a fun and playful workshop at the Library. Explore our building and our Treasures exhibition, and enjoy hands-on creative activities.

For families with children aged 3 – 11.

Places are limited so please book in advance. If you can no longer attend please let us know at so we can offer your place to another family.

If you feel unwell, or anyone in your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19, please don’t come to the Library, and let us know by emailing

We’ve made some changes to keep everyone safe during this event:
• Limited numbers, a one-way system around the Library and spaced out workshop areas in the Learning Centre so everyone can keep a safe distance
• Regular enhanced cleaning of the spaces and equipment, and hand sanitiser stations for everyone to use
• Adults and children over 11 will need to wear a face covering unless exempt.

Click here to find out more about how we’re welcoming you to the Library safely.

The fun continues...

Don't forget you can explore more activities on our family webpages, from storytelling videos to craft and play ideas. Join in!
