Join us to explore sounds in the Library.

This free event takes place at the British Library.

Play with sound, as artist Shepherd Manyika takes you on a listening adventure around the Library.

Listen out for feet shuffling, fingers tapping and pages turning. What would these sounds look like if you were to draw them?

How would you re-create these sounds with your voice or body? If you close your eyes, what sounds can you imagine in the basement, where books are stored four floors underground?

Let’s have creative fun imagining and discovering sounds together.

Workshop 1: 11.00 – 12.30

Workshop 2: 13.30 – 15.00

Suitable for ages 5+ (one ticket per person).
