Ahead of the British Library’s upcoming major exhibition Fantasy: Realms of Imagination (2023-24), supported by Wayland Games, join us for a day of talks about Fantasy and the Fantastic.
From Epics and Quests, Fairytales and Folktales, through Portals and Worlds to the growing influence of Fantasy fans. Our six expert speakers will take you on a journey through their world-leading research into Fantasy media, looking at everything from the very earliest Fantasy texts to fanfiction and memes posted yesterday. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during two Q&A sessions in the morning and afternoon.
Find an outline of the day and full line up of speakers (PDF).
