The event features live music, micro experiments, tastings and conversation.
Heston Blumenthal is internationally famous for his award-winning, three-Michelin-starred The Fat Duck in Berkshire, England. Although self-taught, he has pushed the boundaries of a traditional kitchen and completely changed the way people approach cooking. Through his dedication to creativity, science and precision, along with his relentless research into nostalgia and the history of British gastronomy, Heston has pioneered new techniques through multi-sensory cooking, flavour encapsulation and food pairing. He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry and The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. He was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty the Queen for his services to British Gastronomy.
Dominic Murcott is a composer, percussionist, curator and educator committed to encouraging creativity and bringing demanding music to wide audiences. He leads the Composition Department at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance which has become renowned for its inventive approach to music education. His latest composition, The Harmonic Canon, a percussion piece for a half ton custom-built bell, will be released on nonclassical at Easter 2019 and won the recent British Composer Award for best solo or duo work. He is a keen cook, enthusiastic eater and is fascinated by questions of taste.
