Come along to a day-long animal themed tagathon
The aim is to use the British Library’s one million public domain images on Flickr to tag every image of domestic animals in the collection. From dogs to reptiles, fish to cats, we need your help to organise and curate the images in this amazing collection. The more you tag, the easier the collection will be to use for future researchers and enthusiasts. You are invited to participate in this event from your own home, or onsite at the British Library. This event is inspired by our Animal Tales exhibition which and by our wonderful Flickr image collection.
This is a drop in event. Please come along to the British Library Conference Centre between 10.30-16.00, to take part. You will need a Flickr login and your own device (e.g. tablet, smartphone laptop). The following public libraries are also taking part: Newcastle City, Manchester Central, and Leeds Central. We hope you can join in and make the collection more discoverable for researchers in the future.
The event is part of the Being Human festival which takes place from 12 – 22 November 2015.
