Gold has long held the power to ignite feelings of awe and wonder across cultures. Join us for close encounters with some of the Library’s most beautiful treasures in our latest exhibition Gold.

This activity-packed session will explore the exhibition and showcase how gold has been used to show power, status, religious significance and beauty. Learners will uncover some of the special techniques used for working with this precious metal. Discursive activities will help learners build critical thinking and visual literacy before they respond creatively, making their own gold-themed book.

Available Mondays and Thursdays on the following dates:

July 4, 7, 11, 14
September 19, 22, 26, 29

Also available
