A special preview screening of the new adaptation of J G Ballard’s High-Rise

From director Ben Wheatley, one of the best British filmmakers working today, and based on the classic 1975 novel by J G Ballard comes a unique and dazzling vision of a dystopian Britain on the brink of social meltdown. Featuring a stellar cast including Tom Hiddleston, Luke Evans, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller and Elisabeth Moss, High-Rise is a one of a kind cinematic event that is set to be one of the cultural talking points of 2016.

The British Library, the home of the J G Ballard archive, is proud to present

this special preview screening, which is followed by a Q&A with Director Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, A Field in England), producer and long-term associate of Ballard, Jeremy Thomas  and the author’s daughter Bea Ballard.

High-Rise (Certificate 15. 118 minutes) will be in UK cinemas on Friday 18 March

Inner Space, a special day devoted to Ballard, his writing of the 1970s, architecture and film will take place at the British Library on Sunday 13 March.
