The British Library celebrates the United States with live music, food and fun and razzmatazz

July the Fourth is US Independence Day and this year London is lucky to have on display - for the very first time in then UK - Thomas Jefferson’s handwritten copy of the Declaration of Independence and one of the original copies of the US Bill of Rights. Both can be seen as part of our exhibition Magna Carta: Law, Liberty, Legacy

Get your tickets for the exhibition and pay your respects to the Declaration of Independence, then join us for some razzmatazz, free live music, food and fun for all on the Piazza in front of the Library.

Performing a special set of American classics will be the wonderful 20-piece I C Big Band and we are also delighted to present two shows by 2014 Dance Grand National Champions, Zoo Fever London Cheerleaders

Our special outdoor menu will include a classic hot dog and burger selection, New York tuna and cheese melts, popcorn, and Red White and Blueberry trifle.
