We know the land – terroir – affects wine, but what about cheese?

Join husband and wife Bronwen and Francis Percival for an evening exploring this little-known ingredient that is key to the worlds of both cheese and wine, with tastings and samples along the way.

Your ticket includes two small glasses of wine from Davy’s Wine Merchants and cheese samples. This event is suitable for those aged 18+.

Bronwen Percival is the cheese buyer for Neal’s Yard Dairy. As part of her role she works to mobilise collaboration between cheesemakers and the scientific community: she instigated and runs a biennial conference on the Science of Artisan Cheese, and co-founded the website MicrobialFoods.org. Bronwen also served on the editorial board of the Oxford Companion to Cheese.

Francis Percival writes on food and wine for The World of Fine Wine. His work won Louis Roederer Best International Wine Columnist in 2013 and Pio Cesare Food & Wine Writer of the Year in 2015. Apart from The World of Fine Wine, his work has appeared in Decanter and the Financial Times in the UK and Culture, Saveur and Gourmet in the US.

Bronwen and Francis are the authors of Reinventing the Wheel: Milk, Microbes, and the Fight for Real Cheese, which was Wine & Spirits Magazine’s Book of the Year 2017.
