Learn to write some Hebrew letters calligraphically.

During this one-day course participants will have the opportunity to create an illuminated Hebrew letter inspired by our exhibition, Hebrew Manuscripts: Journeys of the Written Word, exploring colour, illumination and design. Participants will begin to learn how to write Hebrew letters calligraphically, working with a variety of writing implements and inks. We will also explore the symbolic meaning of some Hebrew letters. All materials are provided and no knowledge of Hebrew and previous art/calligraphy experience is required.

This course it led by Vetta Alexis. Her painting ‘The Tree of Life’ features in the exhibition.
