Join us for this two-day masterclass creating your own wirework jewellery inspired by our exhibition, Gold. Focusing on spiral, vine scroll and flower designs that decorate the Anglo-Saxon and other ancient manuscripts, we will also explore Celtic knots and arabesque inspired designs.
With expert guidance from jewellery artist Sam Rowena Taylor, you will learn how to work with gold coloured wire to recreate some of these Anglo-Saxon, Celtic and Roman decorations and how to turn these designs into bespoke jewellery creations. After exploring the exhibition, you will try your hand at creating earrings, pendants, necklaces or bracelets to take home.
This course will run across the following dates:
- Saturday 25 March 2023, 10.30 – 17.00
- Sunday 26 March 2023, 10.30 – 17.00
