We’re sorry to announce that this event will not be taking place this year. However, it will be back in 2023 and we will announce more information as soon as possible. 

This event will take place at the British Library. It will be simultaneously live streamed on the British Library platform. Tickets may be booked either to attend in person (physical), or to watch on our platform (online) either live or within 48 hours on catch up. Viewing links will be sent out shortly before the event.

The fifth edition of the acclaimed Lahore Literary Festival returns to London after a gap of two years, with a vibrant mix of voices from Pakistan, the UK and beyond.

Speakers during a full day of conversations include the multi-award winning author of The Reluctant Fundamentalist and latest novel, The Last White Man, Mohsin Hamid; the real-life ‘Bookseller of Kabul’, Shah Muhammed Rais; designer, interdisciplinary artist and author of The Go-Between, Osman Yousefzada; historian and author Alex von Tunzelmann and one of Pakistan’s leading contemporary artists, Ali Kazim.

Venue opens for registration from 10.30, sessions begin at 11.00.

Join us for a linked event on Sunday 23 October, when we screen the classic Jago Hua Savera (The Day Shall Dawn), the 1959 East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) film directed by A. J. Kardar.
