What makes food writing tantalising and what leaves a sour taste in the mouth?

Discover the basic dos and don’ts of food writing at this introductory online short course. Food writer Mallika Basu will explore the fundamentals of writing about food, connecting with your target audience and building a following for your work. We’ll also look at some common pitfalls to avoid. You will also gain an insight into how the British Library can be used as a resource for your writing and research. A pre-course task will help you have fruitful conversations with your fellow participants, and a post-course activity will help you practically apply what you have learned.

This course takes place on Zoom and we will email you a joining link the day before. There will be an opportunity to ask Mallika questions during a Q&A, and have conversations with your fellow participants in virtual breakout rooms.
