Learn how to tell your story
Read the course outline (PDF)
Everyone has a memoir in their minds and in most cases, this is where it stays. This online short course is for people who have a story to tell and a hundred excuses for not telling it: maybe you’ve never written anything before, you have a foggy memory, or – most often - you don’t want to anger or upset your family. What are the ethics of owning your story and laying the past to rest? Biographer and critic Frances Wilson will discuss how to start writing your memoir and how to do so sensitively.
This course takes place on Zoom and we will email you a joining link the day before. There will be an opportunity to ask Frances questions during a Q&A, and have conversations with your fellow participants in virtual breakout rooms.
Live captions will be provided by Stagetext.
