Learn how the fragility of memory can become an art on our online course
Memoirs are built with memories, but what if you can’t remember very much? Having a good memory doesn’t necessarily make you a good memoirist. It is the quality and not the quantity of your memories that makes for an interesting memoir. In this online short course biographer Frances Wilson will examine uncertain, disputed, false and repressed memories and discuss how the fragility of memory can become an art.
This is one of three memoir writing courses. Book for one or as many as you like:
Wednesday 21 April: Getting Started
Wednesday 28 April: Shaping Your Story
Wednesday 5 May: The Art of Remembering
This course takes place on Zoom and we will email you a joining link the day before. There will be an opportunity to ask Frances questions during a Q&A and have conversations with your fellow participants in the virtual breakout rooms.
Live captions will be provided by Stagetext.
