Experiment with water as both subject for drawing and a tool to draw with
Course dates: Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 September 10.30 – 17.00
This two-day course takes the Library’s exhibition Leonardo: A Mind in Motion as a starting point to explore water as the subject for drawing. The subject of water was a fascination for Leonardo da Vinci both as an artist and as a scientist. He described water as ‘the vehicle of nature’ believing water to be to the world what blood is to our bodies.
As well as the subject, water will also be a vital material to experiment with in our work. On the second day we will take a visit off-site to draw moving water (location to be confirmed).
