Hear from a variety of published historical fiction writers, before practicing your own historical fiction writing at this interactive study day. Whether you’re writing a fictional story of a well-known historical character, or creating your own historical characters, you’ll receive practical tips and peer feedback.

In the morning session you will hear four historical fiction writers share their research and writing processes, followed by a moderated Q&A. In the afternoon session, historical fiction writer Kate Morrison will facilitate a writing task and a group workshopping activity. We encourage you to come with some of your writing, and be ready to write and share friendly feedback with the other participants in online breakout rooms.

There will be comfort breaks and a lunch break during the day.

This course takes place on Zoom and we will email you a joining link the day before.

If you require live-captioning, please email adultlearning@bl.uk as soon as you have booked your ticket.
