Celebrate the launch of The Phoenix of Persia with this spellbinding storytelling event

High up on the Mountain of Gems lives the Simorgh, a wise phoenix whose flapping wings disperse the seeds of life across the world. When King Sam commands that his long-awaited newborn son Zal be abandoned because of his white hair, the Simorgh adopts the baby.

Join us to celebrate the launch of the stunning new picture book The Phoenix of Persia with a spellbinding family storytelling event from author Sally Pomme Clayton. A legend from ancient Persia, the tale of Prince Zal and the Simorgh is a mythical exploration of forgiveness, family and what it means to be truly wise.

This magical story is accompanied by an original musical performance, played on traditional Iranian instruments. Children can try out the instruments for themselves and experience their unique sounds. Followed by a book signing.

Sally Pomme Clayton is a pioneering author and storyteller who is passionate about bringing myths and fairytales back to life.

Suitable for ages 6+.

In collaboration with Tiny Owl
