This practical course places buildings centre-stage and invites you to explore architecture through the medium of drawing.

Over six weeks you’ll learn the fundamentals of drawing architecture and space on location. We’ll cover the perspective drawing system and you’ll gain confidence in using different drawing materials, including watercolour and a variety of pen and pencil media. We’ll consider different ways of depicting people on location as we explore both our interior and exterior spaces, and venture out to our surrounding area to investigate our evolving architectural landscape.

20 years on from the official opening of the British Library, you’ll also have the opportunity to gain insight into architect Colin St John Wilson’s vision for this building and explore some of its key architectural features and themes.
