Explore how poetry can be discovered and experienced via digital technologies

Poetic Places is a free app for iOS and Android devices made by Creative Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the British Library, Sarah Cole from TIME/IMAGE. To celebrate World Poetry Day, Sarah will talk about the development of Poetic Places and introduce special guests including Dr Jennifer Batt, a lecturer in English, University of Bristol, who has been working with British Library Labs on an innovative project to data mine 18th-century newspapers for verse.

Both Sarah and Jennifer will be joined on stage by poets and experts from the fields of literary geographies, location-aware apps, and cultural heritage, to explore how poetry can be discovered and experienced via digital technologies.
