Join us for a sensory-friendly viewing of Unfinished Business: The Fight for Women’s Rights
Join us for this special event aimed at young adults and adults aged 16+. Suitable for people who enjoy both a quieter environment and the chance to visit our exhibitions free from the hustle and bustle of the general public (for example, those with autism or other sensory needs). Some of the sounds in the exhibitions are switched off and there is a dedicated room for those needing a calmer space on the night.
Explore our major exhibition, Unfinished Business: The Fight for Women’s Rights. From bodily autonomy and the right to education, to self-expression and protest, this new exhibition explores how feminist activism in the UK has its roots in the complex history of women’s rights. Exhibition curators will also be on hand throughout the evening to answer your questions.
All visitors to this special opening receive a visual story in advance to provide information on what to expect at the event.
We’ve made some changes to keep everyone safe during this opening:
• Limited numbers and a one-way system around the Library
• Regular enhanced cleaning of the spaces and hand sanitiser stations for everyone to use
• Adults and children over 11 will need to wear a face covering unless except
