It is with great regret that we need to inform you that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been taken ill and was unable to fly to London yesterday. Therefore she will not be able to give tonight’s Folio Society Lecture at The British Library. Naturally we are as disappointed as you will be.
At present we have no further details. As we do not know whether it will be possible to reschedule her visit, we are able to offer ticket holders for the event one of two options.
- A day pass for the Folio Prize Fiction Festival this Saturday or Sunday (usual price £24 plus concessions) with the opportunity to hear from authors of the calibre of Jeanette Winterson, AM Homes, Rachel Cusk, Colm Toibin and Val McDermid. Full details here http://www.bl.uk/events/the-folio-prize-fiction-festival
These are limited availability so if you would like to take up this option please email events@bl.uk as soon as possible.
- A full refund. These can only be obtained by calling The British Library Box Office on 01937 546546 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).
Once again, we are very sorry to bring you this news.
