The 16th century was an era of extraordinary female power. Elizabeth I and Mary, Queen of Scots were hugely influenced by the women who preceded them. In this fascinating panel discussion, we explore 16th-century power and politics through a female lens – from Mary of Guise and Anne Boleyn to the Grey sisters, Margaret Beaufort and allies and enemies across Europe.
Chaired by Dr Wanda Wyporska, panellists include Sarah Gristwood, Nathen Amin and Dr Tracy Borman.
This event is part of TudorFest and produced in association with HistFest.
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the event. We are committed to the safety of our event bookers. Find out more about how we are welcoming you to the Library safely.
