Britain and the wider world in Tudor Times.

This event will take place in the British Library Theatre. It will be simultaneously live streamed on the British Library platform. Tickets may be booked either to attend in person (physical) or to watch on our platform (online) either live or within 48 hours on catch up. Physical ticket bookers will also be sent a bonus link to the online event. Viewing links will be sent out shortly before the event.

The Tudor world was not contained to the British Isles. It’s influence and legacy was felt across the globe. In this event, leading scholars take a global view of the Tudor period to shine a light on the complex histories of mobility across Afro-Eurasia, the exchange of ideas and trade, and early colonialism in North America. Chaired by Professor Suzannah Lipscomb, panellists include Professor Nandini Das, Dr David Veevers and Dr Rachel Winchcombe.

This event is part of TudorFest and produced in association with HistFest.

Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the event. We are committed to the safety of our event bookers. Find out more about how we are welcoming you to the Library safely.
