The second of two workshops looking inside the British Library’s South Asia collections.

This event takes place at the British Library.

India 75 Events is delighted to offer a platform for emerging and independent scholars to share their research. Join us to learn more about the British Library’s extensive South Asia collections.

On 21 September, speakers will reflect on the subcontinent’s regional heritage, through exploring the Survey of India Maps and the cultural and literary heritage of Tibet and Bengal.

On 5 October, our seminar speakers will be presenting on Central and South Asia’s colonial pasts, including British surveillance of the Afghan Durrani kingdom, interactions between the indigenous Bhil community and 19th-century courts, and the Indian Army’s contributions to the First World War.

For the full line-up of speakers, visit the India 75 Events programme.

This event will not be live-streamed.

We are committed to the safety of our event bookers. Find out how we are welcoming you to the Library safely
