Designed for students and teachers of A-level politics, the conference sees a bi-partisan pair of former Members of the US Congress joined by British-based academics and commentators for detailed discussions of key topics from the US politics A-level syllabus, including the Presidency, Congress, the Supreme Court, the role of interest groups, and foreign policy.
The speakers will be two former Members of Congress, Susan Davis (D-CA) and Dennis Ross (R-FL), plus Professor Philip Davies (Eccles Centre/De Montfort University), Josephine Harmon (UCL), Professor Robert McKeever (UCL), Dr Andrew Moran (London Metropolitan University), and Dr Laura Smith (University of Oxford). The full conference programme is available to view.
The conference registration fee includes soft drinks on arrival and a sandwich lunch. Please note, this is a one-day event, repeated across two days, so bookers can choose to attend on either Monday 15 or Tuesday 16 November.
