Showing you how to get the information you need to turn your idea into a successful business
How do you turn a business idea in your head into a commercially successful business? The first stages are to get an understanding of who your targets customers are, what they need and the wider factors that will determine whether your idea has the potential to be a success. This involves developing a plan and strategy for getting a real knowledge and understanding of your customers and the market in which you will operate. This workshop will show you how to identify the information that you need to develop this knowledge and where this can be found. It will include:
- Identifying and prioritising the information you need to find.
- Finding this information in the Business & IP Centre.
- Finding this information through free web sources.
- How to get feedback from potential customers.
- Recording and developing your business model using the Business Model Canvas.
Whether your idea is for a product, a service, a creative and art based project or a social enterprise, this workshop will be of value to you as the approaches covered can be applied to and adapted for to all sectors.
