The British Library houses poetry, picture books, scripts and stories from writers across the globe. And now it’s your turn! Become a writer for the day in this creative writing workshop for Key Stage 2 students.

Created by professional writers and led by experienced learning facilitators, this session will introduce learners to a range of creative techniques to generate new writing. Students will gain confidence in drafting and editing their own work and take a guided tour through our Treasures of the British Library gallery to look at some of the incredible original draft material on display from writers whose words changed the world.

These sessions have been made possible thanks to support from Old Possum’s Practical Trust
