Join us for a school workshop exploring this new Entrance Hall exhibition. Inspired by the exhibition, this creative writing session will see learners develop original pieces in response to works and objects on display. Learners will take in the exhibition narrative and explore individual stories, using these as the starting point for original writing responses. Workshops support literacy, creativity and critical enquiry.
About the exhibition
70 years since the Empire Windrush carried hundreds of migrants to London, hear the Caribbean voices behind the 1940s headlines. Why did people come? What did they leave behind? And how did they shape Britain?
Revisit 1948 and explore how the Windrush story is much more than the dawn of British multiculturalism it has come to represent. Read more about the exhibition.
