The best of South Asian writing and arts
The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival returns to London presenting a sumptuous showcase of South Asia’s literary heritage, oral and performing arts, books and ideas, dialogue and debate. The British Library spaces will be transformed in this two-day taster of the extraordinary free festival which takes place in the Rose City of Jaipur, India, every January.
Writers so far confirmed include Ajoy Bose, Audrey Truschke, Chintan Chandrachud, Giles Milton, Guillermo Rodriguez, Helena Kennedy, JP Losty, John Elliott, John Keay, Jon Wilson, Katherine Butler Schofield, Meera Syal, Mihir Sharma, Namita Gokhale, Nayanika Mahtani, Neel Madhav, Patrick French, Philip Norman, Shashi Tharoor, Shrabani Basu, Vayu Naidu, Vidya Shah and William Dalrymple.
Music on Saturday evening comes from Kabir Café. A selection of free family activities and workshops accompanies the programme.
